To the membership of AST.

The past four years have been a whirlwind, both in my professional life and in the opportunities that I have had to serve the membership of AST. This past year I’ve had the opportunity to preside over this organization, and discover first hand the successes we have had and the challenges we still face.

One of the things I have realized is that those who are dedicated to software testing as a craft and a profession are small in number but mighty in heart and drive. Many of those numbered with the heart and drive can be found right here in AST. I thank each and every one of you for the encouragement and yes, chastisement when it was needed. You all helped me and the rest of the board determine objectives that matter to the membership, and it’s my hope that we can keep moving in positive directions and have positive results to show for it.

Though I am stepping away from leadership, I am not stepping away from involvement with AST. I aim to teach when possible, and a personal project is the development and extension of the education opportunities we currently have and areas we can move into going forward.

Again, I wish to say thank you for four great years, and I look forward to seeing where AST will go in the future.
