Once again it is time for the change of seasons. For me, everything is chaos. Between the end of summer and the start of the school year I find myself wanting to keep my head low and stay the course. But times of change are a good time for thinking. Thinking about where I am, where I want to be, what I do, and how I do it.
This month I recommend reading a couple of recent blog posts by AST members that tackle complacency head on.
Are you a thinking tester surrounded by zombie testers? Maybe there are even days you behave like a zombie tester – hopefully only the days you go without coffee. What are you doing to stay vital and to keep thinking? Check out Ben Kelly’s recent 4 part blog post entitled “The Testing Dead.”
Do you wonder about whether the organization you are in is the proper fit?
Have you thought about if you want to stay or go? Matt Heusser’s post “It Might be Time to Move on if…” may be just the thinking you were looking for.
