BBST Scholarships

While we believe that our courses are reasonably priced, especially when compared to other online training opportunities, we also recognize that not everyone has the means available to cover both AST membership (a prerequisite to enrolling) and course enrollment fees. To help address this, the AST offers select scholarships to our Foundations, Bug Advocacy and Test Design course each year to qualifying AST members.

To submit a scholarship application, an individual should contact the education committee chair via email with their request, which should include:

• Requester Name
• Phone
• Email Address
• AST Membership Status
• A brief statement (approximately 1000 word) on their interest in testing, how (Foundations | Bug Advocacy | Test Design) will help them, and why they need the scholarship.

The scholarship selection committee, will review applications on a first-come, first-served basis until all scholarships have been awarded for a calendar year.

If awarded a scholarship, the applicant will be provided with instructions for registering for the course. All applicants will be notified via email of the selection committee’s decision regarding their application.

The AST asks that, upon completing the course, each scholarship recipient submit an experience report regarding the course which may be selected for publishing to the AST’s website.
