Navigating the World as a Context-Driven Tester

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a resource providing responses to common questions and statements about testing from a context-driven perspective? Navigating the World as a Context-Driven Tester, a new book coming soon from the Association for Software Testing, is here to help!

Experienced tester, and long-standing AST member, Dr Lee Hawkins is co-ordinating the book. He’s posing one new question every two weeks on TwitterLinkedInSlack, and our mailing list. AST members and the broader testing community then provide suggested answers. Lee collates the suggestions, focusing on practice over theory and keeping responses to the point.

We think this is valuable for those new to context-driven testing as a FAQ for day-to-day situations. It also serves as a reference guide to context-driven testing, with answers linking out to broader and deeper information on each topic.

This is a great opportunity for members of the AST and context-driven testing community to contribute to a useful reference piece and all contributions will be attributed in the book.

The book will be made freely available under a Creative Commons licence at the AST’s GitHub alongside our guide to running your own peer conference.

Look out for more updates soon along with the first request for contributions!
