CAST 2019

12 – 15 August, 2019

CAST 2019

CAST 2019 is now over!

Description

Let’s advance testing by mining other fields for new ideas.

Many advances in software testing come from outside testing, or even software. Heuristics and problem-solving techniques come from science and engineering. Bug Advocacy is influence applied to testing. The separation of testing and checking originates in the work of Harry Collins. Testers consume ideas from all of these fields of study, and then apply those ideas to their work.

This year, we will talk about testing in all the different ways it can occur, in and out of software development. We are looking for anyone that has deep experience with testing and a willingness to share. Testers, linguists, designers, doctors and nurses, developers, attorneys, DevOps engineers, social scientists, members of academic communities, and so on.
