The webCAST is only days away and we are making final preparations for the trip to Grand Rapids. For this year’s livestream we are using Youtube Live to avoid some of the annoying commercials and so we can broadcast in HD.

Three ways to watch:

  1. AST Website
  2. Session “Watch Live” Button
  3. Youtube Channel

Like last year we will be streaming keynotes, full sessions, and “CAST Live”. We will also have the tweet printer online so you can ask questions via twitter.

For the schedule we posted some iCal links so you can add the webCAST to your calendar and have the sessions in your local time. In addition we are going send out an email to everyone each day with that days speakers and if you follow @AST_News on twitter a tweet will be sent 30 minutes prior to that days broadcast and 5 minutes prior to each session. We don’t want you to miss anything.

As always tell your friends, enemies, and the world about the webCAST and feel free to use this tweetable and postable graphic with all the particulars.

“CAST Live”

Ben and Dee have been working hard and are mixing things up this year! While they will still be doing a couple of interviews they will be also doing a couple panel discussions.

Topics for this years shows include Remote Working (with a remote guest), Hiring testers, Becoming a more technical tester, and more. Guests this year include Ben Simo, Erica Walker, Rob Bowyer, Stephanie Liu-Barnes, and more.

In addition they will be doing a segment both nights called “Notes on the Keynotes.” Robert Sabourin will join them to exchange notes on the good, the bad, and the ugly of that days keynote.

Conferring ONLINE while watching

Just because you aren’t in Grand Rapids doesn’t mean you can’t confer at CAST. If you have a twitter account you can tweet questions to our speakers and they will print in the room on our tweet printer. We will read questions from twitter LIVE on air as time permits.

Just tweet your question(s) to @AST_News and follow/participate in all the rest of the conference action with #CAST2015.

** Don’t forget that you can tweet questions to Ben and Dee (and their guests) during CAST Live.

We look forward to seeing everyone online Aug 4-5th!
