The theme for CAST 2013 is “Old Lessons applied and new lessons learned: advancing the practice and building a foundation for the future.” What we learn from our experiences helps shape us as human beings. What we learn from the experiences of others can give us new insight and new perspectives.
The industry we work in is multifaceted and the technologies we work with are rapidly changing. Some testing truisms stand up over time. Some fall into obsolescence as others rise to take their place.
At this year’s conference speakers will share with you the lessons that they have learned in Software Testing, as well as how these lessons influence the way that we approach testing both now and in the future. These sessions will be filled with real-world experiences, stories, thoughts, observations, and demonstrations. Join us this summer for our eighth annual conference in beautiful Madison, WI August 26-28.
CAST is designed not only to allow but also to encourage a high-level of interaction among presenters and participants, we put the confer back into conference. To that end attendance is limited to 250 attendees, be sure to register early!
If you register now you can save $400 with our “First Responder” rate.

Speak at CAST
We invite you to share your experiences, stories, thoughts, observations, demonstrations around the lessons that you have learned in Software Testing, as well as how these could influence the way that we approach testing in the future with your fellow testers at CAST 2013. How have the changes in the technologies we test affected you? What have you done to adapt and continue to provide value?
We are seeking abstracts and proposals in line with the conference theme for either a presentation of up to 45 minutes, with 20 minutes of question time, OR a workshop of 2 hours. The theme is broadly set to provide a wide scope for submissions, however we do request that proposals be specifically about your experiences in the field.
Deadline: February 1, 2013 – Submission deadline for track session proposals.
Become a Sponsor
CAST provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of influential practices and concepts in software testing. We attract a high caliber of participant, eager to discuss and debate testing topics and practices with both speakers and vendors.
Software testers are a skeptical, questioning breed. Gaining recommendations or referrals often requires that sponsors not only have quality products or services, but also demonstrate true dedication to the testing craft, community, and value system. CAST works to create an environment where sponsors can build and strengthen their relationships with the testing community.
CAST effectively couples this relationship-building opportunity for our sponsors with one of the more senior and influential participant audiences at any testing conference.
